Hi my name is Derek Kilgour, owner and principle photographer for Gold Coast Photography. For many years I've had a passion for the medium of photography and I firmly believe that a picture can say a thousand words.

In December 2005 I established Gold Cost Photography where I took my first tentative steps in the professional world of photography. My teaching ground was one of the hardest buy most rewarding, on the beach with the Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club. A group of people that I greatly admire for the work that they do every year to keep our beaches safe.

From these tentative steps and some years later Gold Coast Photography has gone from strength to strength and are proud to have provided their services to many individuals and organisations. We are still proud to support the Surfers Paradise Surf Life Saving Club where you will find me on the beach whenever time permits.

Specializing in capturing the essence of weddings and the special moments and memories as they happen is what I pride myself in. Most of the time you won't even notice you're being photographed.
